Buying:
A 20% buyer’s premium is added at the end of each auction. For example, if you bid £1,000, your total would be £1,200. Additional fees may apply for payment methods like Stripe.

Selling:
There are no seller fees. However, you can decide how much of the premium Phoenix Auctions keeps, ranging from 20% to 10%, based on your satisfaction with our service.

Our auctions have a hard close with no time extensions for late bids.

Live auctions may feature a different structure in the future.

No returns are accepted on third-party graded items.

Returns for raw comics are accepted only if grossly misrepresented by us.

Copies will NOT be held on file once the account has been approved.

Why We Require Photo ID for Registration at Phoenix Auctions

We’ve implemented a photo ID requirement during registration to ensure that all bidders are legally eligible to participate in our auctions. In the UK, it’s a legal obligation for auction houses to verify that all bidders are over 18, and photo ID is the most effective way to ensure compliance.

This step also helps to protect everyone involved in the auction process from fraud and misuse of the platform. We understand this may feel like an extra step, but it’s necessary to maintain a secure and reliable auction environment.

Your ID will be treated securely, and we follow all data protection regulations. If you have any questions or issues with the verification process, please get in touch directly.

We accept payments Credit/ Debit card payments via Stripe, Klarna and BACS with a 5-business-day payment deadline. If payment is not received, we will reach out before nullifying the sale if necessary.

Transaction fees will be applied in additional to the Buyer’s Premium

In cases of non-payment, we notify the seller and either offer the item to the next highest bidder, re-list it, or return it to the seller.

We provide free advertising to our partners because we believe in representing everyone without profiting from it.

We advertise our partners on a rotational basis to make it fair for all.

Minimum Value for Graded/Raw Comics:
No minimum value is required at the moment, though we reserve the right to decline certain items.

Reserves & Starting Bids:
All items start at £1, and no reserves are set on any items.

Phoenix Auctions uses a hard close auction format. Once the countdown reaches zero, the auction ends—no extra time is added, even if a bid comes in at the last second. This creates a set deadline for all bidders, so timing and strategy are key.
